With more than 5,000 iPad apps released each week, it’s safe to say that the Mobile Application market is booming, and it’s tough to stand out from the competition. However, DevDigital is excited to announce that iTunes has deemed our client Walleries as Best New iPad App in the Lifestyles category, and the number ten overall Best New iPad App.
Walleries, the brainchild of Nashville architect Brian Oliver, is an iPad application that provides an easy way to create and hang a gallery of art on your wall without doing math. Last year, Gallery Walls were the number one home trend according to Pinterest, so when a photographer asked Oliver to help devise an easier way to hang gallery walls, he saw the value in creating an app to simplify the process.
Walleries was created to make the whole process simple and fun. The app was released in the iTunes store on October 8 and was chosen as the Best New App on October 15.
How the App Works:
The first step is to upload an image of your wall and images of your art. In the app, drag and drop your art on your wall and use the layout tools to help you design and visualize your wall gallery. When satisfied with your design (which you can share with friends on social media), Walleries will ship you a full-size template or you can order the PDF file and have it printed at your local print shop. Once you have your template, tape it to your wall, nail through it at the marked locations, take the template off the wall and hang your art! The app is free to download and use. Pricing for the template starts at $5.00.
