Nashville is booming. Everywhere you look there’s construction and help wanted signs. Traffic’s a nightmare, but it’s a fun time to live in a growing city.
One of the signs of growth in our city is the explosion of entrepreneurship in every sector. And next month the NEXT Awards, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, is highlighting this year’s noteworthy entrepreneurs and startups.
Here at DevDigital, we love working with the exciting people doing great things across Nashville, so we were really pumped to see several of our partners and friends in the list of finalists for the NEXT Awards.
Talkapolis has been a partner with us for awhile now. They’re developing a new way to broadcast local content through social media feeds, essentially growing a new way to do local TV. Our own John Maddox co-hosts the Talkapolis show Serious Startups every week.
They’ve already been recognized by Forbes as one of the best 100 websites for entrepreneurs, and this year they’re up for Digital Media and Entertainment Startup of the Year at the NEXT Awards.
We’re also excited to be working with InvisionHeart. This healthcare startup is developing mobile hardware and a cloud system to monitor cardiac data on the go. Earlier this year, they announced a funding round with AOL founder Steve Case.
InvisionHeart was nominated for Healthcare Startup of the Year.
Last but not least, we’re really proud of Turner Nashe. Turner is the President of Innertainment Delivery Systems, which develops high quality, commercial grade hardware. We’re working with Turner on some exciting new projects that should be ready to announce soon.
Turner is well deserving of his nomination to the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Congrats to all of our friends and partners on the well-deserved recognition!
