Below is our recent interview with Peter Marcum, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at DevDigital:
Q: Peter, tell us something more about the company and your history?
A: DevDigital is a custom development and creative services company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and with offices in Vadodara, India, and recently in Nassau, Bahamas. We recently celebrated our 10-year anniversary last year, and have seen tremendous growth over those 10 years. In 2018, we launched 52 different projects, completed over 9,400 tasks for clients, and logged over 182,000 total programming hours.
Q: You’ve recently opened a new location in The Bahamas; could you tell us something more?
A: The Bahamas do not have extensive programming resources, something that the government has expressed interest in bringing to their country. There’s a big desire for the kind of work we do down there, and I saw it as a great opportunity to make a positive economic impact for both parties.
Q: Can you give us insights into your features?
A: We’ve seen and done just about everything there is to do from a web and app development standpoint. That experience has helped us build up a strong portfolio that we’re able to show to potential clients when they come to us for a specific solution. In addition to our expertise in web development and mobile apps, we also offer amenities in creative services, SEO, and hosting.
Q: From your perspective how can SEO change a business owner’s life?
A: You can make an argument that an excellent understanding in search engine optimization is the most important quality a business owner can have in today’s world, where so many referrals and clients come through a search engine or a web directory. Being able to do a deep dive into the analytics of SEO where a business owner gets a better understanding of the search habits, demographics, and location where their potential customers are, can help them come up with an effective marketing strategy that’s tailored specifically towards the target audience they’re trying to attract for their product.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We plan to continue to hire more leadership to guide our expansion in The Bahamas and hope to grow our global brand. We also have equity investments in eight other digital companies, and will continue growing those companies we are invested in.
